My name is Michael. I started this blog to share my journey. I am a young entrepreneur in Canada and built a business in Real Estate. My degree in Financial Economics helped me land opportunities in Tech-start ups, Consulting, Insurance, Finance and Sales. I learned that no opportunity is beneath me. There is always something to learn or an experience to gain from it.
I found that the corporate culture was not for me. I barely kept my job. I always felt there was a better way to do things. Some tasks and reports seemed redundant for the most part. Still, I was still being asked to create them because that was how things are done. Refinement was not the goal. I couldn’t agree with the way things were done. I always had this internal debate. Why haven’t I already started my own business?
The skills and knowledge I learned from University and Corporate were transferable. More importantly, I needed to believe in myself to make the leap from Corporate to Entrepreneurship. I am writing this blog 8 years after starting my own business. My aim is to inspire confidence in those making the leap themselves.
